Erwin ’Ercasa’ Calianga San Agustin

My paintings express my fun approach to life, albeit guided by strong Filipino values. When I paint, I like to just dive in, and let my hand and my feelings Ercasa is a Toronto based painter, a cartoonist, a self-published children’s book author and illustrator, an architectural technologist, and a nurse. Ercasa grew up in Philippines and studied BS Architecture at Far Eastern University before moving to Toronto, Canada in 2002. In 2017, Er joined Philippines Artists Group of Canada (PAG) in Toronto and remains an active member of the organization. His work as a visual artist is primarily focused on abstract and Filipino cultures. His artistic influences include Larry Alcala and Picasso. Ercasa has participated in several group exhibitions in Newmarket and Mississauga in Ontario over the years. He is currently working on putting together some paintings for a future exhibit. He maintains an online presence by selling children’s books through Amazon, maintaining a YouTube channel, and selling some of his work through his artist account at ArtWanted website.
